Eye On Style Feature: Eyewear Makeover Feature
We had such an amazing time at our eyewear makeover event that we hosted this spring. Champagne was flowing and the ladies had a wonderful time choosing a new look. We brought in Dave, or representative from Lafont Paris. We had so much fun perusing the entire collection of frames which featured springs hottest new looks from Paris France. The ladies had fun with our makeup artist who provided make up tips to match their perfect new eyewear. The before and after transformations were amazing!!

Describe your experience finding glasses in the past. What was your experience at Vision by Design?
I’ve struggled finding frames for my narrow face in the past. I usually end up being shown children’s frames, but I prefer the styles of the adult frames over the kids’. I loved when your opticians took the time to guide me in the process of choosing frames. I’m really happy with my new frames. I’ve gotten lots of positive feedback and they are very comfortable.
Describe your personal style:
Conservative but I have a fun side too
What do you look for in a pair of glasses?
Subtle with a standout feature, like colour or shape. Not too out there but still something fun
How do you incorporate glasses into your wardrobe?
They really complete my look each day
How many pairs of glasses/sunglasses do you own?
One pair of glasses and one pair of sunglasses
What is your biggest fashion pet peeve?
When women don’t leave anything to the imagination
Any tips for staying trendy on a budget?
Invest on things that you will wear over and over again. Save on the more trendy items

Describe your experience finding glasses in the past? What was your experience at Vision by Design?
Finding glasses has proved to be a daunting task in the past. It’s exhausting! But when I came to the eyewear makeover event I was shown the frames I have now.
What do you like about your glasses?
I Love that my glasses are trendy and perfectly suits my face shape
How many pairs of glasses do you own?
I have 2 pairs of glasses and 2 pairs of sunglasses

Describe your experience finding glasses in the past. What was your experience at Vision by Design?
I’ve struggle finding frames that fit and are light enough to be comfortable for daily use. I’ve been disappointed with the selection that other places have given me in the past, but when I came to Vision by Design’s eyewear makeover event I had so many frames to choose from.
Describe your personal style:
I tend to gravitate towards prints and colour
How incorporate glasses into wardrobe?
If I had 10 pairs, I would match each outfit to my glasses, but since I wear progressives I just have my one pair that I really like that they go with many things in my wardrobe
Where do you get style inspiration from?
Having clothing that has naturally sourced fabrics is important to me. It can make it harder to follow trends, but I would describe my style as more conservative

Describe your experience finding glasses in the past. What was your experience at Vision by Design?
It’s been difficult to find frames that suit my face shape. I usually rely on the staff for help. My experience at eyewear makeover was great. The first frame that was picked out was “the one.”

I look for glasses that can be dressed up or down

Describe your experience finding glasses in the past. What was your experience at Vision by Design?
I’ve often left opticals disappointed because so many of the glasses are too mainstream. They seem to sell the same brands and the same shapes/styles at most place. I was really excited about the Lafont trunk show because there were so many unique frames to choose from that suit my style.

I like some of the vintage inspired styles that are trendy right now
How do you incorporate your glasses into your wardrobe?
They’re more of an accessory to me
How do you incorporate your hair and makeup with the style of your glasses?
I’d like to learn some makeup tricks with my new glasses since they are a deeper frame
What do you look for when you get glasses?
Something a little different-- no tortoise shell!
