Alia G

Alia was born and raised in Edmonton and joined the Vision by Design team in early 2022. She graduated with honours as a certified medical transcriptionist in 2020 and as a medical office assistant and unit clerk in 2021, where she had a 4-week practicum as a unit clerk in the University of Alberta’s general internal medicine unit. She fell in love with optometry while working at Vision by Design as a receptionist and pre-tester. As her interest in the field grew she decided to take the opportunity to further her knowledge with the ophthalmic assistant course which she graduated from in 2023! Alia’s strongest point is making patients feel like they are family with her bubbly personality and helpful attitude impresses staff and patients alike!
